We're only a couple weeks away

After many long days and sleepless nights, we are almost ready to open the Beehive for the first time since 2011!

Over the past two weeks, our crew has been hard at work finishing laying the tile, painting the deck and walls, and setting up all of our kitchen and bar equipment as we prepare for our opening weekend. There’s still plenty of designing to do and things to polish up, of course, but we’re extremely happy with the progress we’ve made and are so excited to see the end result.

We’re also proud to announce that we just got in what we think will be a centerpiece of the restaurant… a brand new Yamaha baby grand piano! So get ready to come in and relax, grab a drink, and be amazed by some of the area’s most talented musicians in our weekly live performances. And if you’re ever running late? No need to worry… our piano can even play by itself!

We hope that our unique atmosphere and state of the art piano will bring in talent from many different backgrounds and styles, providing a stage for up and coming artists and professional musicians alike. If you or someone you know would be interested in performing at the Beehive, share your music with us on our Facebook page at Beehive Augusta Tavern and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. We can’t wait to see what you can do!

Our biggest addition yet!

October is here! And with it, comes our biggest surprise yet… a new deck!

Some of you may remember our previous deck from years ago, but the new one is sure to take your breath away. Overall, the addition is 12 by 30 feet and will accommodate up to 45 people. There will also be plenty of space underneath to fit an additional 20 with room for live outdoor music.

Perfect for enjoying our breathtaking views of the river, as well as a safe place to stay in the event of say.. a giant flood or something! Jokes aside, the deck is one of our coolest additions to date and will provide some awesome views of our amazing scenery.

Our grand opening is fast approaching, so be sure to subscribe and follow us on social media so you don’t miss out on any important news. See you soon!! :)

Big thank you to all of our volunteers

What an amazing couple of days with friends from the Augusta community!!

A HUGE thank you to Beth and Dave Laskey, Carol and David Williams, Marie Kelsch, Leesa and Chuck Carr, Jane and Roland Tongret, and soon to be resident, Monica Wolf, for helping paint and clean the Beehive over the past few days! They worked tirelessly to move things along with painting, cleaning, moving, scraping, climbing, and lifting... all while having a blast doing it!

We cannot thank you enough for your efforts and dedication to our project. In only a matter of weeks, the Beehive will be buzzing once again and we’ll return the favor over a crackling fire and a glass of the best Bourbon you can find. Community is everything to us.. thank you so much again for giving us your time and positive energy!

Big things coming soon!! Stay tuned :)

Getting closer to becoming, well, a restaurant again!

Back when we started renovating the Beehive, we were missing one key thing - a suitable kitchen. We recently finished building our new two-story kitchen house complete with all the modern amenities to ensure that every meal is the perfect meal… and it even has its own elevator!

Now, with much of the busy work complete (minus a big surprise, coming soon!!), we’ve been able to focus more on fine tuning the interior of the building. Creating the perfect atmosphere may seem like a daunting task given that our building is over 200 years old, and the reality is that it is. That’s why we’re taking our time to perfect every element of the dining experience, so that every visit blends comfort and elegance in the most unique of settings.

Take a look at a short timeline of how our kitchen house came to be, and see if you can guess what we’re going to be working on next!

Coming back to give back....

We are finally getting close to the re-opening of the Beehive Augusta Tavern!  They say history takes time, we can also confirm renovations take time :-)!!

Our family has deep ties to the town of Augusta where we cherish friends, family, and memories shared in this tight knit community.  We decided to re-open the Beehive for many reasons...most importantly, the history that has happened in and around our building since 1796 is simply worth saving.  For generations, the building in which the Beehive is located has been a centerpiece for the community.  Our vision for the new Beehive is to re-create a special venue for friends and families to gather and make new history.

Thank you to all who have been so patient and understanding during this painfully long process of renovating our 200+ year old building.  We are confident it will be worth the wait.

We want to share a few before and after pictures of our renovation to get you excited for things to come......
